Accessibility Statement
Last updated: 18/05/2026
Protea Poms is committed to making our website accessible to as many people as possible, including people with disabilities. We want everyone who visits our site to be able to find what they need and use our services with ease.
Our approach
This website is built on the Wix platform, which includes a number of built-in accessibility features. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at Level AA, which is the standard widely referenced across the UK and EU.
We want to be transparent: we have not yet carried out a formal accessibility audit or testing of this website. As a result, we cannot currently confirm the site's level of conformance with WCAG 2.2, and some content may not yet fully meet the standard. We are treating accessibility as an ongoing commitment rather than a finished task.
Known limitations
Because no formal testing has taken place, some areas of the site may cause difficulty for users of assistive technology such as screen readers. Areas that commonly need attention and which we are working to review include text alternatives for images, colour contrast, heading structure, keyboard navigation, and any PDF documents or embedded third-party tools.
What we are doing
We are committed to improving accessibility over time. As a next step we intend to review the site using the accessibility tools available within Wix and to address issues we identify.
Feedback and contact
We welcome your feedback. If you experience any difficulty using this website, or need information from it in an alternative format, please contact us at hello@proteapoms.com.
We aim to respond to accessibility queries within 5 working days.
Your rights
In the UK, the Equality Act 2010 requires businesses to make reasonable adjustments so that disabled people are not put at a substantial disadvantage. If you are based in the EU, the European Accessibility Act may also apply to the products and services we offer online. If you are not satisfied with how we have responded to your feedback, you may wish to seek advice in the UK, the Equality Advisory and Support Service (EASS) can help.
