Choosing the Right Wool Pom Bouquet
Five sizes cover everything from a bedside table to a dining room centrepiece. The Trio gives you three stems and works on a windowsill or narrow shelf. The Bunch (six stems) and The Bouquet (ten Pop Poms at 5cm diameter) suit mid-sized vases on side tables and mantelpieces. The Grande Bouquet holds ten Grande Poms at 6cm diameter for a fuller, rounder arrangement. And The Statement, with twenty stems, fills a large vase and anchors a room.
Colours are grouped into five collections, each one drawn from the tones we see along the coast near our Cornish workshop. Coast is the most classic and restrained. Sea Glass leans cool and deep. Sea Pink runs warmer and softer. Sunset is bold. Wild is earthy and neutral. You can also buy individual colour sets of five Grande or five Pop Poms and mix your own combination across collections.
What Makes Wool Pom Bouquets Different
Materials that last
The wool comes from New Zealand and carries a natural lanolin quality that resists dust and holds colour. The stems are biodegradable jute twine wrapped around a wire core, so you can bend and adjust them to sit in any vase or bottle. No plastic anywhere in the product or the packaging.
A genuine alternative to cut flowers
Cut flowers last a week or two with daily water changes. Wool pom bouquets hold their colour and shape for years with no water, no feeding, and no maintenance beyond a gentle shake or a cool hairdryer to clear dust. For anyone with hay fever or pollen allergies, wool is naturally hypoallergenic, so these bouquets go where fresh flowers cannot.
Handcrafted, not mass-produced
We hand-finish every bouquet in our workshop in Mithian Downs, St Agnes. Orders dispatch next day on in-stock items, and we ship across the UK and Europe.

How do I care for my Protea Poms?
To keep your poms looking their best, gently shake or use a soft brush or cool hairdryer setting to remove dust. Keep them out of prolonged direct sunlight and away from humid environments like bathrooms. If storing, wrap loosely in tissue paper. The jute stems can be gently reshaped to suit any vase.
Do you offer wholesale or trade orders?
Yes, we work with wholesale and trade buyers with no minimum order quantities. Get in touch at hello@proteapoms.com to discuss your requirements.
